Vesta Sauna
Most sauna retailers are online only and ship you a crate of materials to assemble yourself. They grab your attention with a “low price,” but they’re selling you the absolute bare minimum - not even a heater or flooring.
Our saunas come nicely equipped from the start. We carefully curate our saunas to include everything you need to create a delightful sauna experience, including installation & electrical setup by a licensed professional.

Saunas
If you like the look or the size of one more than another, choose that! Both hold heat evenly and are designed to last. Our cubes have a slightly larger footprint and fit 6 comfortably with outside seating for 2. Our barrels are aesthetic masterpieces that people love to showcase on their property. The Big Cottonwood has generous space for 6, while the Little Cottonwood seats 4 comfortably with outside benches for 2.
It generally will take 45 minutes to adequately and evenly heat up all of our sauna models to a heat of at least 180 degrees Fahrenheit or 82 Celsius.
Thermally modified Nordic Spruce, steel & tempered glass. Our benches, backrests & floorboards are made of thermally modified Alder wood.
All of our wood is thermally modified meaning all of our lumber is heated to high temperatures (typically 350-450°F or 180°C–230°C) in a low-oxygen chamber using steam and heat. This chemical-free process permanently alters the wood’s cellular structure, making it highly resistant to moisture, warping, and decay, which makes it ideal for harsh sauna environments.
Ours do! (Most barrel saunas don’t!)
We've redesigned the barrel sauna so heat is even throughout our barrels. We use a high performance, low-mounted HUUM heater and we raise the benches in our barrels to reduce thermal stratification (a fancy term meaning your head is hot, but your feet are cold). Additionally, our metal roof improves the thermal performance of the sauna.
While many people enjoy the nostalgic feel and routine of building a wood fire, it can be a burden on your time not only to build a fire every day, but also to maintain the wood stove (daily ash removal, etc.) and purchase, stack & store fire wood on a regular basis. We find the electric heater allows you more time in the sauna and less preparation & maintenance. You can turn on the heater to start your sauna heater from anywhere, so it's ready when you arrive home.
Additionally, the Utah Division of Air Quality strictly regulates wood burning fires (stoves, fireplaces, fire pits, etc.) based on the air quality. Using an electric heater in your sauna ensures you can use your sauna daily (even during the mandatory & voluntary "no burn" days from November 1st to March 1st) without restriction throughout the Salt Lake area and all of Utah.
Just turn it on. We require nothing of our customers to use their first sauna session upon install; we fire it up every install to ensure everything works 100% before you even try it. Simply turn it on 45-60 minutes before you want to sauna and then get to enjoying!
Our saunas are built to last, but if there's ever a problem, call us, and we can service you. Find warranty details here.

A licensed electrician must install a 240V dedicated circuit (hardwired) to the sauna.
All of our saunas come installed with a weatherproof electric box outlet on the back exterior sauna wall.
In most communities in Utah, structures under 200 square feet do not require a permit. Our saunas are less than 100 square feet.
That said, it is your responsibility to ensure you are following all state, local & HOA codes & requirements.
Vesta Saunas are built to last decades in harsh conditions, but like all wooden structures, best thrive with proper care and maintenance. Saunas endure high humidity and extreme heat, so we offer an annual wood protection, cleaning, and staining service as part of our available maintenance plans.
